I build my own using Aeroquip -3 lines and appropriate adapters from 
Aeroquipe or Earl's. The best lines I have ever seen come from Goodridge 
in England. They cover metal brde with something like built in fire 
sleve. These are prefabricated and availble from Brits in LA.
Home assembled ones can be rebuilt reusing hiose ends if they fail.

That is my way. I learned it from race car fabricators. Not DOT approved.
However approved by every motorsport governing body.
I once purchased prefab set with crimped ends and they failed like all 
others because they were too short.
