FW: NASA this weekend?
Apologies for the WOB to those of you in the rest of the world ... but for
those in the vicinity of northern California I thought I'd post this ...
Since I haven't seen anyone else post info about this event, I thought I'd
pass it along. It turns out that NASA is having an autocross event this
coming weekend in Marina, California ... a few minutes north of Monterey. I
will not be able to make it (especially after leaving the wife with the two
year old two days last weekend :), but I thought the A4 folks were planning
to attend ... and I thought a few others (Wolff?) were contemplating it as
well. I think it would be a blast to do myself, but it has never seemed to
work out ...
I don't know where all the models stack up class-wise, but I think the 4kQ
is in HS, and anyone with a chip or major suspension mod would get bumped
into an "SP" category. I suppose that stuff doesn't matter much to me as I
would go for the opportunity to toss my car around more than anything else
... rumor is that the A4Q/V6 is doing fairly well in the class that it is
assigned to ...
