The newest Car and Driver reviews the click-shifters on a Ferrari (don't have it
in front of me/ don't remember the model) and new 911. While the 911 system is
basically a tipper, the Ferrari system has a computer controlled clutch and sounds
very cool. For instance, when entering a turn, knowing you'll need, say, 2nd gear
on exit, just click it down. Computer will keep up engine revs and engage the
clutch when car has slowed down enough.
5spd was on both cars faster for 0-60, but the Ferrari click system was faster
on 70-100.
Initially skeptical, but now I want one.
