Manual/Auto Choices

I have to admit. I learned how to drive stick when I was 18 or 19, but not very well. I am now 23. I bought my A4 1.8t last May (97) and would not settle for anything other than a manual. This was my first car, and it was the first car I drove for an extended period of time that was a manual. I feel more comfortable and "in control" than I have ever felt in a car (almost 100% autos) ever.

My friend (female, 24) was looking for a BMW (sorry guys) 328is, and I had to convince her to get a manual. Simply put, "Trust me" it took her some time to get the clutch down, especially on hills, but recently (she has 10,000 miles in 3.5 months) she told me that she is so glad I convinces her to get the manual. She also says that she feels like she is in total control of the car, more so than her old Chevy Corsica ( bad comparison ).

Simply put, I will buy nothing but manuals until the evil importers stop importing manuals, and then I will have to settle for some POS GM manual or an automatic import. Not the decision I want to make
