Not exactly a Tor$en though since that center diff is a cumputer controlled
clutch pack design from what I have read about it thus far ;-)
I am very anxious to hear all I can about this new "quattro" system. Even
though I tend to not like transverse engine mounting...this system may offer
quattro with the best f/r weight distribution ever. Looking forwards to
hearing more about these (S3 and TT). We may never get the S3 in the US but we
are set to get the TT next year. IMO that may well be the most exciting new
quattro to hit the US in quite some time.
Yes, I know some of you think it is ugly. So far from the pics I have seen I
like it. Alot. You wanna talk *ugly*? Take a look at that new M powered Z3
"station wagon"! I saw one last weekend at Monterey Historics at the wmb tent
and it was quite possibly the ugliest car I have ever seen--bar none! All it
did was make the '72 2002ti with factory flares (ala the '73 2002 turbo) they
had on display look that much better and reinforce in my mind that wmb has
lost something over the years (this said by an "old" wmb fan).
