Audi Design Radio problems

The radio in my 5KTQ seems to be dying finally.

It's real strange:  sometimes when I turn it on -- nothing happens.  I
wiggle the on/off/vol. knob and it clicks on, flickering faintly and the
antennae goes up.  As I turn the volume knob up -- it flickers, loses
power, and the static takes over.  It almost feels like it just doesn't
have the energy to stay on -- the LED (orange) thingy that shows what
station it's on flickers and strains to stay on -- then it's just cut out
completely sometime and the antenna goes back down.  The on/off/vol. knob
is also loose -- maybe it has something to do with it.

This is pissing me off to no end. Any ideas?  I know I can get another one
through BLAU, but how complicated is it to get a new one in?
