One thing I have done as a preventative measure is to use McGuires or
your favorite brand of tire and trim spray on both the tires and wheels.
Note: you don't want to get any overspray on your brake rotors. With the
A-8 5 spoke Speedlines, I take 5 rags and stick one in each "hole" and
then I am free to squirt the wheel and tire. The brake dust doesn't
stick much after that.
