This is not targeted at you Steve, as you do go to the events up there, and
this is too far away for you anyway. And I did mention above " the certain
brave few"

Well, I thought this was part of the Quattro Club??? Perhaps then I am
mistaken, and so thus apologize.

True too, and again reference what I said above - "the certain Brave Few".
But here in SoCal, the attendance of anything, even a simple picnic is
dismal and quite depressing! I am used to monthly meetings (with at least
30-60 folks showing up) club organized AutoX's, outings, and all sorts of
events with when I was in the Triumph Club (ISOA), Lotus Club (Lotus
Corps), SCCA, and Tri-State back home in Illinois. I guess I had expected
the same today, but again I am wrong  :(

But at tonight's AutoX (which was one of the BEST I ever entered!!!!!), I
met a great group of guys from a VW/Audi Club that have over 160 ACTIVE
members, and even have a meeting today (Sunday) very near me! I never knew
about them before, but you can be assured I know where I will be later! And
these guys ARE enthusiasts, and have proven to me tonight that they are NOT
just show!
