Re: '88 90q: a/c floods the floor



Andrei,  if you look just below where the two a/c lines pass through the
firewall in the engine compartment you will see a rubber tube that ends in
a flat lip.  This is the drain for the evaporator housing.  Usually these
get plugged with leaves and debris.  From under the car use a coat hanger
to "roto-rooter" this tube.  Chances are after a small amount of poking
anywhere from a cup to a gallon of water with will come pouring out.  After
all the water has drained make sure it is free from restrictions and wait
until it plugs up again.  At the dealer we check and clean these on a major
service,  usually finding a full housing.  Good Luck.
