     Won't work, the 5K has an almost "S" shaped metal
     piece built onto the cable, this is what holds it
     onto the handle.  Using a bicycle cable, or any
     other generic cable would require some fabrication
     and modifications.  Besides, last time it broke on
     the 5KS the junk yard didn't charge for it.
     It was rusty on the outside casing, but the cable
     was fine.
