     The cables all seem to snap right after the interior
     hood latch handle.  In most cases there is still
     enough cable protruding inside the cabin for you
     to get a hold of it and pull it with a pair of
     vice grips.  You can tell how far back it
     snapped by how much cable is still attached to the
     handle.  If it snapped farther up, but still in
     the cabin, you can peel the cable sheeth by pulling
     on it, it comes off like a corkscrew.
