Had this same symptom on my daughter's '91 90 (non-q).  The dealer stated that
they had seen this problem in several cars after the recall.  The service
manager says that it is a problem that can be corrected by putting in a new
bulb.  We've not had it done yet as the light does go out after a bit (2
minutes sounds about right, but I've not timed it).  

Also, they tell me that once the light goes out the airbag system is
functioning normally.

I honestly don't know that I buy this explanation, but he's willing to do the
diagnosis and repair at no cost - which is what I expected since it was not a
problem until after the recall "repairs".
