Rocking start

Wonder if someone could/would help me with some advice on where the
problem is with my '87Audi 4000CS Quattro.  Every time it starts
cold it jerks violently until it's warm (30-40 secs. maybe).  Afterwards
she runs fine (little noisy, but not too much).  It has 90,000 miles
on.  I am told that fuel injection system on those is sometimes a
problem.  I used a bottle of STP gas treatment but could not notice any
change.  I am also driving it with Super gas thinking this helps.

Anyone with ideas how I can deal with that?

Will entirely appreciate the help, for I love this German one.
