At around 120 KPH on the
speedo, the CC-22 readings are too low by about 12-15 KPH. I don't think
the discrepancy reflects the error in my speedo. My speedo reads too high,
but not by that much--I hope :).

Hi!
I also stumbled over the built-in-speedometer in my A/C control
unit (actually it is channel 17 on my 93' 80q), wondering if this
one is more or less accurate.
Measuring with a stopwatch at around 100km/h (A/C readout) showed
that the A/C unit is accurate at approx. 3km/h (speedo reads ca. 115
in this case);
Compared to one of these "You are running xxx km/h" electrical signs
it showed: xxx=58, speedo=65, A/C=55;
The last speeding ticket (duh) showed a number which was much more
close to the A/C reading than to the speedo's.
Aparently the most used "gauge" on my car, like:
- Unlock car, open door
- Enter, close door
- Buckle up
- Start engine
- Switch to channel 17
- Take off.
