After many years, it suddenly came back to me: "Alle Rowdys fahren Audis." (German for 'Rowdies all drive Audis') Similarly, there were bottom-of-door stickers saying "RAUDI" with the R striped or in a different color. Which would make for an obvious vanity plate, too. -gbr
