*Now* you tell me. Bill Kolofa suggested the same approach, after carefully
cleaning the contacts...

I'll be doing this as soon as I get a new set of connectors. In the
meantime, I'm running stock H4 bulbs and hoping the connector doesn't fail
completely. The ground connection was pretty well toasted...
