Every connection that comes apart on my car gets cleaned lightly with a
brush or steel wool, sprayed with Wurth contact cleaner, and greased
like heck before reassembly.  It may just be a religion, but I can wash
my engine without it failing to restart, and I don't get the humidity
blues as much as I used to (don't even go there!).

oh yeah, you use it to seal rubber boots & such as well, like the plug
wire ends... clean first!
