Might be ok for somebody elses car, but its a real lazy way of doing it. It
is not difficult to slide the belt off the cam gear (either forwards or by
removing the gear BTDT), then you can get to the pump without any trouble.
OK, you have to double-check the timing afterwards but thats no big deal.
And you havent had to cut things.
