I'm back, and vehicles for sale
Hope everyone had a good few weeks while I was away.
I know there was a problem with the password approval of
sub/unsub requests, and I hope it didn't cause too many
problems.
I'll talk more about my trip later, as I'm pressed for time at
work, but I had a great time in Portugal (and 10 hours in Brussels),
brought back some magazines and a couple of parts too :)
For now, though...
I am selling two vehicles, mostly because being on vacation made
me realize how hectic my life has become, and so I'm trying to
simplify things a bit.
1) 91 Ford Ranger XLT short pickup, 4sp auto. Email for details,
cheap, runs great. 95k. Would like to get $2200 for it.
2) 85 Audi 4kq. This was my wife's car which I bought from the original
owner. Oceanic Blue, light grey interior, no heated seats, no
trip computer. My mom wrecked the car before I left for vacation
and I was going to sell it to my brother in law, but he has no time
either so I'd like to see it go to a good home.
The car is mechanically perfect at 110k or so, I just spent lots
of money on parts and repairs, a/c works great, new brakes, rear
exhaust, suspension, all bushings, etc.
Body damage is to the driver's side, minor damage to right rear
fender, needs windshield and sunroof brackets.
I see two options for this car:
a) replace driver's doors and front fender, sunroof brackets,
parts about $300-500 used. Repair bodywork if you choose
(oceanic blues are very rare, it would be nice to restore it)
b) keep the car as is, perhaps replacing only driver's door and
keeping it as a winter beater/autocross/rallycross car.
If I can't sell it for a decent price, this is what I may do
although my wife is sure to complain...
The car also has 14" MSW 5 spoke rims, which are very nice.
Interior is excellent.
I'm open to discussions on price, but I need to get at least $1000
for it. Remember, mechanically, the car is PERFECT.
You can find prettier 4kqs out there but not better running or
driving ones. I could easily part the car out but I don't have the
time or desire to do so.
Thanks.
