Sprongl's running a complete engine and drivetrain out of the Group B A2,
which had a button on top of the gear lever for the clutch.  They continued
to use that on the later cars, including the Pikes Peak Hill Climb cars, and
later SMS S2 Gr. A cars.  The pink Gr A S2 for sale on my web page, has the
electronic clutch setup, with the button on the gear lever, and I believe
Paul Choiniere's old S2 did as well.
