RE: quattro-digest V4 #2711
Here in NZ we get our cars ex-Japan essentially unmodified.
The latest incarnation of the WRX was the Sti-R with 205kw (approx 270hp).
In about 4 months a handfull of Colin McCrae look-alike cars will be
imported at double the price of the Sti-R (that's just over what the Brits
pay for a standard Sti-R) and are designated WRC (surprise!). These will
have about 350hp output.
Cheers

*smile* actually, I think it's full name is "Subaru Impreza WRX-STi Type R"
There are and have been other WRX's with slightly different designations
like:
"WRX", "WRX-STi ver.III" and the "WRX-STi ver. II". There might even be
more......hasn't the WRX been out since about '93?

So it is.
My mistake.
When I checked last the most recent version was the STi-III.

So I pointed at her on my way back.
