Of course, the old one should have been as well, and should have resisted
removal right to the end.  If it didn't, you're doubly in danger.
Check the torque on that nut at least weekly until you change it.

I'm reminded of a letter Rolls-Royce received from an unnamed Mid-East
engine operator.  Something like: "Thanks for the repair kit.  BTW,
your nuts didn't fit your bolts so we reamed them out."

One airline I still won't fly with ...
