I am currently running straight distilled watter and Redline Water
Wetter here in the hot Texas summer. Under normal driving, you won't
notice any difference what so ever. This is because the thermostat and
radiator fan thermo switch are controlling the coolant temperature.
Where you may see an advantage is when the cooling system is being
pushed to its limits and that's why I put it in. I went to a driving
school at TWS in May and it was quite hot and every little bit helps.
I'l go back to the antifreeze mix before the winter. Basically, you may
use it at the track for some insurance, but it's worthless on a daily
driver (unless you do any high-speed cruising at 110 deg weather with
the A/C at max).
Something else to consider is that all the WW does is improve the heat
transfer between the coolant and the engine. Guess what happens when
you do that? You get more heat out of the engine and as a result, the
temperature and pressure of the coolant exiting the engine could
actually be a bit higher that normal coolant. So basically your engine
would be running cooler while the coolant runs a bit hotter. Make sure
all the hoses and radiator caps and all that are in good shape if you
decide to give it a try. HTH
