A4 owner Laments ur-Q sale

I stopped at a real estate open house the other day. The real estate
agent had a tip A4 1.8. I commented to her that I liked her car. I
pointed out the decidedly tired looking 4k parked nearby that I was
driving. She proceded to tell me how she wished she hadn't sold her '83
audi quattro a year ago. "You sold your ur-Q?" Her reply "What's an
ur-Q?" In short, she did in fact have an ur-Q, but she had never heard
it called that. She insisted that I take her A4 out for a test drive.
She gave me her keys and told me to take it. I was protesting and then
said "Well, maybe I'll just go around the block." She told me "No, no go
on the freeway or wherever you want." So, I left my old crusty 4k as
collateral on a nice new A4. She only new my first name. Anyway, I found
the A4 to have stiff, but not unpleasant suspension. Crisp, but a little
light steering and brakes that require very little pedal effort. The
most noticeable thing was the lack of low down grunt. A combination of
the tiptronic and the 1.8 I'm sure. I was also surprised by how small
the interior seemed. Does the drivers seat go back further in a 4k than
an A4? Sure seemd that way to me. Anyway, I drove up the street to my
house and called my wife outside. She was surprised to see an A4 in the
driveway. Lisa followed me back to the open house in our coupe. I
returned the A4. The real estate agent's eyes were far away when she saw
the coupe. Sure it didn't have the fender flares, but it reminded her of
her coupe Q. Apparently had lots of service done on it and had euros on
it. She sold it locally. I should ask her if it is Mars red as I have
seen one driving a few times lately.
