Ref: A4QM Avant

I would like to pose a question.

I was at the dealer on Wednesday and was looking at the A4 sedan and the
Avant. Has anyone compared the distance from rear seat back to rear of
the trunk between the two body styles?

The Avant seems to be at least 12 inches shorter. So if you wanted to
load up some luggage, but didn't want it sticking up and obtructing your
view rearward, the sedan would probably hold more in the trunk than the
Avant could in the rear storage area with the concealing shade pulled
over it.

I know this is a minor detail, but when I load up for a trip, I like to
make sure all of my luggage is properly stowed in the trunk (or other
appropriate luggage area) without blocking my view, if at all possible.
I was considering the A4 Avant for a future car (in about 4 years) but
if the storage is shorter, I would be more tempted to just get the
sedan.
