Mercedes AMG C36 / ML 430 (No Audi Content)

I drove a C43 AMG on Monday and I was not terribly impressed, at altitude.
The thing probably puts out around 240 bhp at 5,500 feet. Suspension could
be a tad firmer. Brakes provided plenty of stopping power but I wasn't huge
on the feel for the first part of the pedal travel. All in all a tough sell
for me at $57 MSRP. The thing is probably a beast at sea level.

OF course I am a little jaded having driven to the dealer in the S4 sporting
RS2 goodies pumping 30 psi, Eibach/ Bilstein Suspension and 993 tt front
brakes. Tough act to follow.

I will admit that the C43 felt more nimble and much lighter, and it had good
turn in response.

I saw a ML 430 much more aggressive than the 6 cyl version. Still looks a
little funky to me. Crazy new, optional, 9 panel roof that almost completely
retracts.
