Boy are you guys missing it in SoCal

I went to the LA Street Grand Prix today, cause AS I MENTIONED earlier, it
is not just NASCAR, but also has a Porsche Pro Race Challenge. And the AMS
(ABT) folks were there with a bright yellow A4 Touring Car! Boy did it sound
great! Looked beautiful as well!

The car was doing extremely well in the beginning and was quite fast. But
then it started slowing down, and eventually was no longer seen on the
track. Fearing the worst, I spent quite awhile walking all over the course
to see if I could find it somewhere on the track, but didn't. Eventually I
saw it parked in the garage area, unscathed, and found Marc. Turns out, they
lost their brakes! That is why it was slowing down, cause their driver
couldn't brake for the turns (and they WERE tight!), so could not keep up
the pace, safely. As a matter of fact, the driver even intentionally spun
the car in a turn to get it to stop, and then slowly left the course. Well,
Marc said they are changing to different brake pads, and will be racing in
Mondays race. So guys, . . . ya better come on out and support a fellow Audi
driver. Its not every day we see one racing in SoCal!

Their race is on Monday at 12:00 NOON.
