Phil-Thanks for your reply. Based on your previous list participation you 
obviously have more knowledge than most of these cars. Of course , now I'm 
really concerned, as this motor in long block form was purchased only two years 
ago. Do I now rebuild the original stock motor which I still have ( with burned 
head and piston), or redo this one? Can one get away with just rings, or 
typically do the pistons and bottom end need refurbishing? It such a shame as 
apart from the smoke it runs SO NICE. Rob Greene
