Re: '90 V8 Overheating



I had a similar problem on a V8q at the dealership,  wound up being the
radiator was silted up and the coolant was bypassing the core of the rad.
try touching (CAREFULLY!!!) the core with the car at temp, if there is a
noticeable differance between top and bottom or left to right suspect a
blocked core.  If it comes down to this Modine makes a replacement that
works well,  the topp has to be notched to clear the hood catch,  easily
done in 5 minutes with a die grinder.  Be careful of the tranny cooler
liner the threads for the retaining bolts are brass and easily stripped.
