Sounds like the voltage regulator and its easy to correct. Its easier to
do off the car but it can be done in place. There are two screws on the
back of the alternator that hold the regulator in place. Remove them and
the entire regulator with brushes will come out in you hand. Go purchase
the correct one from Bosch and reinstall the entire unit into the
alternator. Problem fixed...BTDT
