transmission problems solution (NOT!!!)

have finally fixed the transmission problems - changed the gearbox to 
no avail .... had to put the old one back. Removed the suspension and 
put it back - still no solution. Exhaust needed changing so changed 
it and noticed it wasn't in wuite right . put it back .... no more 
clonking!!!!! should have looked at your advice more carefully in the 
first place as quite a few told me it could've been the exhaust - 
looking at it positively though i can now replace the gearbox in a 
meer 6 hours
