dealer visit: tidbits

Dropped by friendly Ed Byrnes Audi today to order some itty bits...
thought some might be interested

The later model keys (nice big plastic handle) fit the older cars and
are about $8 each.

The door stop lever rivet/pin things are about $5 each (823 837 257).
We'll see if this gets rid of the annoying "clicks" my doors make -
bolts quieted them a bit, but from my autopsy of a couple in another
car, any play there at all created the dreaded click/snap! as the door
opens.

The speaker covers for the later dashes (4k/c) are still available in
black, 7.85 ea, if yours gets damaged while replacing the speaker or
upgrading the dash. L is 811 035 "443" 01C, R is "444".

The heat protection plate for the front brake piston is no longer
available. This is (was) a brake pad shaped bit of spring steel that
clipped into the end of the piston, 1985 on.

The fiches are available but he wants me to call with *my* fiche number
so he can look up the current version. No more scratchy illegible part
numbers, no more trying to order parts that are no longer available...
