You guys are unduly harsh on the system's design.  I have it in my A4q
and I rather like it.  Sure, it could be smarter about when to run
the A/C compressor, but there is always that snowflake button that
you can push to turn it on and off at will.  Yes, I know others have
complained that the recirc can only run when the compressor is running,
etc... but overall, it actually works very well and does a good job of
keeping the interior of my car comfortable without much fuss.  I set
the temperature and it does the rest.  It gives you enough manual
overrides to make it as adjustable as a manual system.  I don't see why
a fully manual system would actually be easier to use.

This is in stark contrast to the GM climate control system that's found
in my 5KT.  Now *that* is a real piece of cr*p.  No arguments.
