I came up to the traffic island at the end of the A14 (M1 junction)
last week and had to yield to an old Ford saloon with about five men
in it.  The driver slowed as he passed the front of my car, and
gesticulated at it.  A riot broke out within as I followed them down
the lane destined to turn right for the M1 Northbound, and as we
entered the slip road I felt honour-bound to demonstrate a four-wheel
powerslide, drifting past them on the outside and leaving them in the
dust as I blasted up onto the M1.  For as long as I had the car in view
in the mirrors, the riot was continuing.
