RE: A6 seat, exhaust and noise

I think I'd have the dealer check that one again. My 98 A6 seat is pretty
solid. Regarding the question on exhaust smell, my '95 A6Q had a terrible
rotten egg smell from the beginning that never went away or got worse.
Varied a bit with types of gas, Sunoco was best, Texaco and Mobil the worst.

Have other '98 A6 owners noticed engine / exhaust system noise between 2200
and 2900 rpm? There is a steady droning in the cabin which sounds like the
exhaust system is not isolated properly. Pretty annoying on the highway. In
contrast, my '95 A6 is silky smooth and quiet.

My 100Q does this a lot, my A6 not so much, but it is there....
