Welding a cracked WHeel

I was looking to buy a set of 4 MOMO wheels the other day for $100.  I
thought the price was too good to be true and sure enough they were well
used which doesn't bother me.  The catch was that one of them had a crack
on the inner wheel edge by the bead area.   

Can this be safely welded?  I am assuming they are a cast wheel, I tried
this once before and the wheel cracked again but I am not sure if it was a
fluke or not.  (I hit a pretty hard bump to re-crack the wheel)  I now
have a new one in its place.

	These were for my 4kq.  15" wheels too.
