knock sensor torque

I have to replace the knock sensor on my car. I am going to use the old
one off of my wrecked 84 5kt. First: will they interchange? Second: how
can I get proper torque on the replacement? The way I see it, only an open
ended box wrench will work, but would have to guestimate the tightness.
Any btdt's? TIA!
