several 1990 V8 questions

Well I got my V8 from Kent Anderson and I love it. It is an Audi of
course, so there are some things wrong with it, but nothing terrible.

The most annoying thing is that the fan for the ventilation system
rattles/squeaks, especially in 'hi'. My impression is that pulling
the black plastic shroud just behind the firewall will afford easy
access to the plastic air box where the fan is located, and that I can
take the box apart and adjust the fan housing. Is this wrong? Any
BTDTs I should be aware of?

Almost as annoying is that the lights indicating what gear I am in
don't work (on the dash). The M will come on when I am in manual mode,
but none of the other lights. Any suggestions?

Also, the intensive washing system doesn't work. I push the button
and _nothing_ happens- no noise, no liquid. I don't really know how
this system is _supposed_ to work- clues?

The car has an added on power antenna that sticks- what have people
found to be the best solution to this problem. It won't rise all the way
and it won't go down all the way, but it does move some.

The only other things are lights...the lights on the electic mirror
controls are out (all of them) and the lights on the front seat heater
switches are out. Anything special to fixing them? Can I just pop the
heater control switches out without taking anything else apart? How about
the panel with all the mirror controls?

TIA,

nate
