Re: Report: another CV Boot done



Wallace,

Are those marks in the races or the area immediately adjacent?  The joints I have
serviced had a polished look in the races with some burnishing where the balls move.
The heat treatment marks I have seen have only been on the large outer part of the
joint, never have seen any heat treatment marks on the inner "star".
