I mounted mine behind the rear-view mirror, set enough to the right side to
allow the rear-facing antenna to show (unobstructed rear view). It's fairly
unobtrusive; from a small distance it blends nicely into the black back of the
mirror, and the wiring can easily be brought up to the headliner and wired
into the sunroof electronics. This hides the display/controls, but I've got
the excellent remote mounted on my dash over a blank spot beside the check
engine light group (cheezy pictures on my site) with the wiring under the
headliner trim and down the a-pillar into the dash. Those driving on the
opposite side of the car may have it block a small portion of your vision this
way; left-hand drive cars this does not apply to as it's hidden behind the
mirror.
