Having watched a professional swear and sweat for over two hours while
doing so on my previous '88 80, I'd say leave it to the pros.

If only you could get it out without breaking it. The windscreens in B3
Audis (and all since) are bonded. PITA is an understatement to describe
removal.
Also, the screen is a load-bearing, structural part of the car. When mine
was replaced, it introduced a number of rattles and creaks to a car that
used to be silent. Very annoying.

They're identical between B3s. Almost every part was redesigned when the B4
was introduced, which is the grill-in-hood type 80/90.
Sorry, but IMHO it's impossible for an amateur to do this kind of work.
