Pin Drop conclusion [200q]

I previously posted that I had discovered a [clevis] pin on the floorboard
in my 89 200q, and didn't know where it came from since the clutch and brake
pedals were operating normally. The Q-list consensus on the matter was
absolutely correct. The pin had fallen from the over-center spring to clutch
pedal connection. It is likely that the pin fell out due to the reuse of
the retaining circlip.

Thank you to the people who responded to my bewilderment.

P.S. I have become oversensitive to every sound my 200q makes. For instance,
at 70mph with the radio I always hear it when a rear seat passenger taps the
window switch. My response is often a lecture on the ease of failure of the
$25 switches, and a polite request to stop.

Now, I can actually hear my over-center spring in work when I operate the
clutch! All I needed was a "before and after". Sheesh.
