Hard to say. I thought all "older Saabs" needed gearboxes "real soon" anyway
;-) WRT the 91 200q. It could be a gearbox problem, but it also could be a
shift linkage problem (MUCH cheaper fix). I advise you get it checked out as
the 91 200q is a rare (and wonderful) beast so a used gearbox won't be easy to
find cheap like one for an earlier type 44 tq would be. HTH
