Improved shoulder belt position

I have indeed fabricated a "brace" for the shoulder belts in the avant.
It rests on the floor and has large (1")bolts that hand tighten into the
seat track channel. It is raked to mirror the seat back which rests
against it.

It tripods to a bracket that sits under the rear seat (removed foe track
use)and held in with grade 8 hardware. It serves 3 functions ,keep the
shoulder belts at my shoulder height, keep the seat in place in the event of
a rear collision and to hold the fire bottle.

On the track I use this set up with a 3" 5 point harness and short of a
cage (which is not a bad idea) is a decent safety addition. I have no
pictures but that could change.

For all interested the 5 or 6 point set up can be done for less than $100
for the belts and mounting hardware and is fairly un obtrusive when the
belts are removed.
