RE: IR filters



... remember that the light from that $800 laser diode needs to reflect off
your vehicle and return to the source.  It also has to be returned with
enough intensity to be detected above the other IR noise that the receiver
is getting.  The LEDs mounted on the grille are the source of the noise, and
the light isn't reflecting off of anything.  

BTW, these jammers must be doing something.  The state of California just
passed a law making jamming of RADAR and LASER illegal.  There is talk that
even detectors will be outlawed ... :-(
