No direct experience with the V8 here, but pulling the cluster on my old
'89 200tq or my present '95 S6 is essentially the same procedure.  Only
slight model to model obvious variations.  I suspect if you've done it on
your CQ you will have no great difficulty on the V8.  Just use your eyes
and your head and figure it out as you go.  If your steeering wheel has the
tilt and in-out feature, tilt if as far toward you and as close to you as
it will go.
