Well - the final call _HAS_ to be Dan's, since it's his bandwidth we're
using without any payment whatever.

Personally, I have no objection to 'idling' off-topic bandwidth in
modest quantities at times when the list is otherwise quiet - it somehow
reassures me that everything is working.
