RE: Tustin Vintage Races: A Short Review

Tim, what time did you get there? I was a bit late, so I got there about
10:15 (White A4), and as I was pulling in Lake was almost leaving in his
Cactus Green A4. He had been there for awhile he said. And a few minute
later Robert arrived in his Black A4. We waited around a bit, and ended up
leaving late, near 11:00-11:30. Next time I will give you my pager number in
case. I AM SORRY!!!!!! :(

I didn't see the cars you talked about, except the Black 100 in the pits,
but I did see a Silver A4 in the lot, and there was our 3 A4's there too.
But didn't see your Coupe.

Well, SORRY for the FUBAR, but it was not meant as any hostile act.

As for the racing, yep, the Green GT40 was nice, but the Red one didn't race
Sunday cuz his entire rear body panel ripped off after catching some air
flow in Saturday's events :(

I also got nostalgic seeing all the old Spitfires and A GT6!!! As well as
the Lotus's (specially the Cortina!) - and in the hanger was a Lotus Europa
FAKE Type 47 (had the popoff gas caps and the side vents) - it was FOR SALE,
and though a FAKE, I am tempted!

And for me, the best race was the Porsche 930 Turbo vs the ex-IMSA Nissan
GTP car! WOW!!!!!! But the Porsche's lead was short lived till the Nissan
got warmed up, then it even LAPPED the 2nd place P after some laps! AWESOME!
And the real cool thing was, the car was driven by Jeff Kline - EX IMSA GTU
killer who raced for MAZDA (Racing Beat, Malibu GP) in the dominant RX7's
years ago! He used to be one of my idols when I raced my RX7!

Ah, errrrr, ummm, as for that NASCAR race, I walked away from that one.
