Especially after a period of idling time. My mechanic tested the timing and
said it was advanced 45 degrees. The car ran perfect and powerful but the
knocking. He adjusted the timing to 7 degree advanced and made the car run
worst (less powerful)and knocking still. I use 10w30 oil and high octane. I
ran out of solution for this car. In addition, my mechanic replaced the
lifters of this car in the road to resolve the problem but the car is still

Mohammed should START by changing mechanics. He needs to find someone who
knows at least SOMETHING about cars in general, preferably Audis in
particular.

Get all the basic settings correct FIRST -timing, good plugs, good plug
wires, nothing hanging, dangling or leaking, then and only then you can
start to troubleshoot.
