I'm considering replacing the chip in my car, but (frankly) don't know where it's
located.  I replaced them in my bimmers and they were always behind the glovebox.  I
decided to ask before tearing everything apart.

I've got a 1993 100cs (automatic).  I'm aware that I have to have certain part numbers in
order for the chip to be upgraded (000, 101, etc).  I'd just like to know where to aim my
scredriver and hack-saw.
